Step Inside

Rustic charm meets modern elegance at these Yorkshire lodges with hot tubs. Fully refurbished this year, you'll find stylish open-plan log cabin living designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. Be sure to light the log-burning stove and get the fire roaring before cosying up on the comfortable sofa with a movie on your Smart TV. The well-equipped self-catering kitchen, complete with a Nespresso coffee machine, has everything you need for a weekend in, but if you fancy a truly luxurious break you can always enhance your stay and perhaps treat yourself to a relaxing beauty treatment. Enjoy stunning indoor-outdoor living with Bifold doors off the lounge lead to a garden with private patio, BBQ, seating area, covered hot tub and, of course, those uninterrupted views of the farm and rolling hills beyond.

 

To Sleep

This romantic lodge with a hot tub boasts a spacious bedroom with a super king-sized bed and glorious views. There's a Smart TV in the room for lazy mornings in bed. The adjoining snug is the perfect spot to relax or, for couples with small children, a cot or z-bed can be arranged for an additional cost. The luxury bathroom features a beautiful copper roll-top bath for the ultimate bathing bliss after a day exploring. There is a separate shower and in this large bathroom you will also find the infrared sauna, which seats two comfortably.

 

Outside

There is much to enjoy beyond the four walls of your log cabin, with over an acre of private garden. Rosina is perfect for a dog friendly holiday, with fencing separating the garden from the Sun Hill Lodges paddocks beyond. Don't be surprised if the only guests you encounter at Rosina are the resident ducks that wander up from the nearby lake.

A stone-flagged patio has a gas BBQ, outdoor table and further rattan sofa seating. The covered hot tub sits to the side of the luxury log cabin, sited to best take in the sweeping Yorkshire views.

 

Practicalities

There is free wi-fi throughout the log cabin. On arrival, you will find a locally sourced welcome hamper. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering accommodation, with an oven, hob and microwave. There is a nespresso coffee machine at the property which is compatible with nespresso capsules. The barbecue outside has gas provided. A starter pack for the log burner includes logs and firelighters, and more can be purchased during your stay. The stay includes high-quality bed linen, towels, bathrobes and a small selection of toiletries. Families can request a travel cot and a high chair for an infant in advance. Up to two dogs are welcome in this log cabin in Yorkshire; it is not well suited to more than one large dog. Please note that the garden within this property is not regarded as enclosed although it is fenced. Please keep an eye on those excitable pooches in particular as it is not escape proof. You'll find private parking spaces for two cars right next to your cabin.

Access & Layout

On your own private driveway, there is space for two cars. A ramp and steps lead up to the lodge which then has flagstones surrounding it. There is one small step to get inside, then the lodge is all on one level and so is well suited to guests with limited mobility. This is accommodation with a ground floor bedroom and a walk-in step-free shower.

 

Rosina is named after the racehorse "Rosina" trained here at Sunhill. The Filly was a successful 2-year-old, winning first time out at York
